Sarah Stankorb is a contributing writer for GOOD and CNN Money/Small Business. Her essays have appeared in publications like TheAtlantic.com, Salon, Babble, Mindful Metropolis, and The Morning News.
Sarah grew up in Northeast Ohio. Her influences include a rust belt upbringing among people who, despite everything the world had shown them, believed hard work would result in the American dream. At various day jobs she has worked to support people living with HIV/AIDS, environmental conservation, and workforce development. She still consults with nonprofits to write web content, reports and newsletters.
A graduate of the University of Chicago's Divinity School, Sarah is completing a collection of connected short stories (Handful of Vapor) about Midwestern religious experience and the ways in which her generation has alternatively embraced and rejected traditional Christianity.
